The subject matter of my bold and colourful abstract works in oil and acrylics is drawn from memory. Memories of past experiences have been imprinted in the subconscious leaving a hazy image. Some are remembered for the colour and others for the powerful emotions the experience has left behind. As with the layered memories and emotions, the process of painting follows its own path, slowly revealing a composition of abstract forms. Photography also plays a vital part in my creative process and I takes photos of Noosa and surrounds to gather reference material for my work.
